Thursday Is the Longest Day at Lido Marina Village

October 8, 2026

On a Thursday, programming at Lido Marina Village runs from noon to 11 p.m. It starts with waterside music on the Lido Deck, moves through two happy hours, and ends with a late-night martini service at Lido Bottle Works. No other day on the village's published calendar covers that many hours. Once you know the weekly grid, the rest of the fall and the holiday season make more sense, because nearly everything new this year has been added on top of a schedule that was already set.

The Fixed Grid

The village posts its recurring hours, and they barely change from week to week. Live music on the Lido Deck runs every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m., with local performers rotating through. On Sunday, October 4, for example, Natalie Clark has the noon slot. Wednesdays get a separate evening set the village calls Wind Down, from 5 to 7 p.m., billed as a chance to "grab a bite, share a sip and shop the village until 7pm."

The restaurants keep their own clocks alongside the music:

Day Window What's on
Monday–Friday 2–5 p.m. Skål Pizza happy hour, with half-price wine bottles and beer pitchers plus discounted menu items
Monday–Friday 4–6 p.m. Lido Bottle Works happy hour, including $4 off wine by the glass
Wednesday 5–7 p.m. Wind Down live music on the Lido Deck
Wednesday Evening Lido Bottle Works Pint Night with $6 drafts, $12 flights and a flatbread special
Thursday Noon–3 p.m. Live music on the Lido Deck
Thursday 8–10 p.m. Skål late-night happy hour with a late-night pizza and cocktail menu
Thursday 8–11 p.m. Lido Nights at Lido Bottle Works, with signature martinis, late-night bites and a curated playlist
Saturday & Sunday Noon–3 p.m. Live music on the Lido Deck

Put those rows together and Thursday looks like this: music from noon to 3, Skål's happy hour from 2 to 5 that overlaps the music for an hour, Lido Bottle Works' happy hour from 4 to 6, and then both late-night offerings starting at 8. The calendar lists no programmed music between 3 and 8 on Thursday. Dinner fills that stretch.

Wednesday is the shorter evening version. The deck music runs from 5 to 7, while Pint Night is going on at Lido Bottle Works and the weekday happy hours are winding down. The weekend holds only the midday music block, which leaves Saturday and Sunday evenings to the restaurants themselves.

Who Is Pouring and Plating

As of this fall, the official Dine & Drink directory lists eight names: Circle Hook, La La Land Kind Café, Lido Bottle Works, Malibu Farm, Nobu, Skål Pizza, The Sweetish Fish and Zinqué. They line Via Oporto. Circle Hook, the seafood restaurant, is at 3432 Via Oporto. Lido Bottle Works, a waterfront restaurant with a craft bottle shop, is at 3408. Nobu is at 3450, Zinqué at 3446 and Skål at 3400. Malibu Farm has two suite addresses on the same street. Zinqué also runs à côté, a small market next to LoveShackFancy that sells gelato, smoothies, wine and European provisions. The Sweetish Fish sells Swedish candy on Lido Lane.

The newest name on that list opened in the morning slot, where the grid had nothing scheduled. La La Land Kind Café held its grand opening on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at 3418 Via Lido. The village described it as the brand's first Orange County location. The Daily Pilot covered the opening and described a menu of coffee, organic matcha, pastries and light bites. In May, the café used blue cups for Foster Care Awareness Month and donated 10% of signature drink sales to its workforce-development program. The café's individual profile page on the village site still says "coming soon." The directory, the event listing and the Daily Pilot all confirm it is open.

Not every arrival is a dining spot. In late August, WWD reported that CAMI NYC had opened its first West Coast store at Lido Marina Village. The village marked the opening with a Friends & Family event that ran through October 4, with 20% off, Champagne and rosé.

The Garage Became Part of the Walk

The biggest physical change this year happened somewhere most visitors only pass through on their way in. City of Hope Orange County partnered with the village to turn the four-story Lido Marina Village parking structure into a walkable outdoor gallery under the theme "Hope is a Rising Tide." Each level has its own theme: innovation rising, expertise rising, humanity rising and hope rising. According to the Daily Pilot, 11 Southern California artists worked on the exhibit, which was completed April 27.

Some of the work is easy to find once you know where to look. Laguna Hills muralist Claire Pedroza's "Always Rising" runs up the stairwell and spells out "Science is the Art Behind Cancer Survival." She told the paper she spent about a month on it using "just my eyeballs and chalk and a ruler." Another mural, "It Takes a Village," is by Kim Sielbeck, a City of Hope patient and breast cancer survivor. The structure sits at the start and end of any trip to the village that begins with a car, so it now works as one more stop on the same visit.

October Adds to the Weekdays

Fall programming lands on the same weekdays that already carry the grid. On Thursday, October 15, the village is hosting Little Lido Kids Club with a music class led by Magic Steps. That puts a family event on the same day as the noon deck set and the 8 p.m. Lido Nights service.

The Fourth Fridays Vintage Market, hosted by Retro Blades, last took over the Lido Deck on September 25 from noon to 5 p.m., with Zach Churchill playing. The village has not yet posted October through December market dates, so check the events page before planning a Friday around it.

Across Via Lido, the Lido Theater at 3459 Via Lido extends the evenings past dinner. The Q4 lineup includes:

  • Friday, October 9: Margaret Cho, The Choligarchy Tour
  • Friday, November 6: Elton, The Early Years
  • Saturday, December 5: Dead Man's Party, a tribute to Oingo Boingo and Danny Elfman
  • Friday, December 11: Pete Yorn Solo Acoustic
  • Saturday, December 19: The JOHNNYSWIM Christmas Show

The theater has also started raising money for local causes. In September, the Newport Beach Independent reported that the first Lido Legacy Live benefit concerts on September 10 and 11, headlined by The Righteous Brothers, raised funds for the Newport Beach Junior Lifeguard Scholarship Program and Friends of OASIS Senior Center.

December Is the Grid at Full Capacity

The holiday calendar follows the same weekly pattern. Visit Newport Beach lists Santa strolling the village on Saturday and Sunday, November 28 and 29, then on December 3, 4, 6, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18 and 20. Look at the weekdays and you'll see December follows the same Thursday-through-weekend pattern as the music schedule.

Two dates stack up the most:

  1. Saturday, December 5. Santa's Arrival Celebration runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. with the Holly Belles, hot chocolate, cookie decorating and holiday characters. Dead Man's Party plays the Lido Theater that night.
  2. December 16 through 20. The 118th Newport Beach Christmas Boat Parade runs those five nights, and Visit Newport Beach lists Via Lido Park as a viewing spot. Santa strolls the village on three of those five days, December 17, 18 and 20, and JOHNNYSWIM's Christmas show falls on the 19th. The 2026 parade route had not been posted as of early October, so confirm timing closer to the date.

For anyone arriving by water, the village's Dock & Dine lagoon in front of Nobu is first-come, first-served with limited capacity and a 24-foot maximum boat length. With a parade week this full, an early arrival is the safer plan for that lagoon.

If you live a short walk or a short boat ride from the Lido Deck, the calendar you use every week is also part of what your home is worth. Kent Martin Group prices Lido-area homes with that daily access in mind, from Via Lido condos to marina-adjacent properties.
